iPad Mini to be Wi-Fi only?
The Guardian are reporting the iPad mini – invites for the launch are predicted to go out today – is to be WiFi only.
This breaks the long run of iPad devices that have come in both WiFi and 3G flavours, as well as strengthing the rumours that the iPad mini will be more like a large iPod Touch than a smaller iPad.
This news comes as Google is rumoured to be preparing a 3G version of their well-regarded Nexus 7 tablet – is Apple missing an opportunity here?

surely it will have 3G too – they’d really miss a trick by only doing WiFi!
We shall have to see! It is certainly very unlike Apple.
Maybe they are just testing the waters and a 3G will follow later?
maybe – or it could be the rumour mill going a bit crazy waiting for real news of the iPad mini 😉 only time will tell I guess!
